April 1st, 2020 Covid-19 Update

Effective April 1st, under orders from the Provincial Dental Board (PDBNS) we are no longer able to treat our patients’ dental emergencies in the Anchor Dental office.

If you have a true emergency – as defined by the most recent PDBNS update – call your dentist directly. We will facilitate you being seen at one of the province’s designated emergency dental clinics, namely, Dal, the VG, or the IWK.

This most recent emergency dental protocal has been deemed necessary by the NS Public Health officials and the PDBNS to endeavour to keep the incidence of community transmission of this virus to a minimum. The full announcement can be found at www.PDBNS.ca

We have been reaching out to those people that have had appointments booked over the past days and weeks to cancel. It is not reasonable to reappoint you at this time, as we simply do not know how long this is going to last. Rest assured we will attend to your dental needs as quickly as we can when we are able to.

In the meantime, now is not the time to ignore healthy habits. Maybe you have time to start new ones as well. If you are home, the temptation to snack constantly is there. Remember to floss, brush and do all those things that will ensure your teeth stay healthy. Home care is more important now than it has ever been!
